Indonesian govt cuts import duty on rice to 450 rupiah per kilogram
The government has decided to cut the import duty on rice to 450 rupiah per kilogram from 550 rupiah previously as part of a plan to stabilize the price of staple food, according to Coordinating Minister for the Economy Budiono.’The import duty cut on rice is part of the government’s program, launched today, to stabilize the prices of basic commodities that are affecting the common people’s daily life,’ Budiono told reporters at the State Palace.
